We are proud of the many Mesquite installations we have made over the years, including student housing at Princeton and Duke. Several years ago the entire "Little Hall" building at Princeton was renovated for student housing. The basement was converted from unusable damp storage space to additional student housing. On a below grade concrete slab we furnished and installed over 12,000 sq. ft. of ½" depth Mesquite. Original stone and brick foundation walls, together with the warmth and charm of the End-Grain Mesquite make this installation one of our finest.
Mesquite Rounds are available. In fact, Mesquite is the only specie that we offer in "round" cut. When installed, the spaces between the round pieces must be filled with a grout hard enough to support women's heels. We use colored tile grout for filling. Since Mesquite is so stable, it allows us to fill between the round pieces with a hard filler. Redwood would be stable enough too, but Redwood is not commonly used for End-Grain Block Flooring.
