Mesquite is an unusual specie for End-Grain flooring, but one we are proud to have developed. Mesquite is a hardwood, and the most stable of all the species we offer. Mesquite can be stained, but most Mesquite installations are natural in color. The photo on this page is the L'Andana Restaurant in Burlington, MA. The floor was made with random length pieces of our End Grain Mesquite, sanded, then stained in an Ebony oil, before finishing. We're very proud of this facility. And the food is wonderful too! Domestic Mesquite from Texas is naturally a deep reddish-brown colored specie that grows wild and many times gets caught in fences that separate farms. We also offer two mesquite products from South America. Grain and color are different. Ask for samples.
We are proud of the many Mesquite installations we have made over the years, including student housing at Princeton and Duke. Several years ago the entire "Little Hall" building at Princeton was renovated for student housing. The basement was converted from unusable damp storage space to additional student housing. On a below grade concrete slab we furnished and installed over 12,000 sq. ft. of ½" depth Mesquite. Original stone and brick foundation walls, together with the warmth and charm of the End-Grain Mesquite makes the Princeton University installation one of our finest.
