Larch (softwood) is another European species we use for End-Grain. Similar in color to our domestic fir blocks, but a bit larger growth rings, and many pieces with the pith showing. The pith is, of course, the center of the tree. Also available in 4" x 4" face size. Extremely warm and comfortable under foot.
